To whom it may concerm:
We were referred to Terry Kilbane by friends who had a great experience with Terry in designing and building a home at Estancia in Scottsdale. We had an initial meeting with him, looked at some of his other architectural design work and knew that we wanted to work with him,. From the onset he and his son, Justin, were so easy to work with that we wondered if they were too good to be true. As it turned out, they were even better than we thought at the beginning of the relationship.
Once we engaged Terry he immediately flew to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and visited the site at the Club at Black Rock . He came back with a definite idea about the lot and how the house should be positioned to take advantage of our fantastic views of the lake. From there he worked with us to get our input which was very specific regarding the way we live in our homes. He and Justin listened and after a fairly short period of time came up with a wonderful design for the house. We were under time constraints on the project so their reaction to our time line was very important to us.
Of course there were refinements and changes, but from the beginning Terry had the vision for the house which turned out to be not only very beautiful but unique for the area.
Terry and Justin worked so professionally on all of the details, including engineering and other structural items, following up and keeping us informed of the progress of the project. They made many site visits throughout the project, making sure it all went together as planned.
There were so many positive aspects to working with Terry but we always feel the real test of a relationship is when you have to work through problems and changes. We didn't have many on our design project but whenever we had issues Terry and Justin were so great. They immediately got involved with us to solve any issue that arose.
It was a pure pleasure to work with Terry and a total collaborative effort that produced what we think is a spectacular home.
