I would like to take this opportunity to present the structure and values of my firm.  Since opening my own architectural practice in 1981, I have designed many spectacular custom homes in various regions.  I work closely with each home owner and builder in order to ensure unsurpassed quality of design and construction.  My goal has always been creating timeless, original architecture tailored to my client’s every need and providing each client with an enjoyable process from start to finish.

Growing up in the mountains of Colorado and receiving my Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Colorado, I have a deep rooted passion for mountain architecture.  Leaving Colorado, I ventured south to Arizona where I found myself enthralled with the architectural forms of the southwest.  I have resided in the small town of Carefree and have had my own practice here for more than 25 years.  Recently, I have begun working in the islands of Hawaii and I am very fond of the freedom of the island style.  With my well rounded design experience, I am able to create timeless, original architecture unique to each site while still preserving some of the indigenous styles from the region.  I am currently licensed in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho and Nebraska and am nationally certified by the NCARB for licensure in any other state. 

My son, Justin, is now an integral part of the firm.  Since his graduation from Arizona State University, he has added great technical, design and management support allowing me to focus more on design and client relations.  Our work speaks for itself in our portfolio and the numerous publications and awards we receive.

We have been told by our clients that our strongest capabilities are in the areas of natural development of the site and truly listening to their personal needs before transforming those needs into architectural forms. We design and position each home to maximize the natural beauty of the property with the features desired by the home owner. Currently, we are designing two to four custom homes per year which allows us the time to interpret the needs, wants and dreams of our clients.

Our services to our clients include a full architectural package starting with property selection and schematic design and continuing through construction documents. We handle coordination with interior designers, landscape architects, design review committees and governmental agencies.  We work with each homeowner in selecting and negotiating with a contractor and conclude with frequent architectural oversight until completion.  We provide this complete package because we believe building your dream home should be an enjoyable experience.
